The puppies are raised inside the house and potty training begins when they are 4 weeks old and start having puppy food. They receive a tremendous amount of interaction with us and their new owners when they begin to visit at 4 weeks. Given this, when the puppy leaves, it will be socialized with people, weaned from its mother, have a strong instinct to go potty and poo outside, dew claws removed, de-wormed (3 times), evaluated by a veterinarian, given their first (of 3) vaccinations, provided a gallon bag of food to maintain their normal diet and a month of probiotics. On the Recommendation Sheet is aditional information available to anyone - it is on the Adopting Page.
Shown below are the Bernese: Bear Cub, Rose Bud, Chewy, (all retired) and 2 current moms - Abbie and Liberty. The Bernese live with us (we do not use a guardian program). The poodle male is chosen based on his health certificate, size, and coloring the puppies from both parents would receive. The sires collection is collected, shipped overnight with Mom having a surgical insemination. After a litter the mom has a season off to re-group. For information on the current status of puppies go to the Adopting/Updates page.
Liberty's Summer of 2025 Litter
Above is the summer of 2025 litter and below are photos of some previous Bernedoodle litters. It should be noted that I started with a standard sire (about 70 pounds) and after 2 litters with families wanting them smaller, changed to the moyen sire (it''s a size they recognize in Europe - about 35#) and I used him 4 times - he threw beautiful sables, tri's and bi's seen on the Owners Page. But now, I'm just using Miniature Poodles sires that are about 12-15#. Hence, grown puppies should be 25-35# (females) and 40-55# (males). If you click on the images below, they will open into a seperate larger window.
